Slotless and coreless motors

Ironless winding technology

A patented ironless winding is used in this motor series of our partner Moons’. The advantage of this special design, with a high power density, are high speeds, high torques, low noises and no cogging. This results in a smoother movement at lower and higher speeds, a more accurate control and a higher efficiency.

Coreless Brushed DC Motors

Coreless Brushed DC Motors has excellent performance and motor control is simpler. This series consists of 6 sizes of coreless brushed DC motors with the diameters 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 16mm, 17mm and 24mm. Coreless brushed DC motors runs up to about 18000rpm. Combining with a gearbox results in a higher torque and lower speeds. The encoder is used for accurate speed regulation or positioning in any application. These motors are a perfect solution for small application like pipettes, spectrophotometers, sample pretreatment platforms, precision balances, micro diaphragm pumps and other medical or analytical equipment.

Slotless Brushless DC Motors

A huge advance of Slotless Brushless DC Motors is the operational lifetime up to 20,000 hours due to the lack of wearing parts. Actually it only concerns the bearings which also partly determine the maximum possible speeds. There are 3 “standard” versions available with the diameters 13mm, 16mm and 22mm and speeds up till 27600rpm. The high speed version is available with the diameters of 16mm and 22m and speeds up till almost 50000rpm.

Planetary gearboxes

All Slotless Brushless DC Motors and almost all Coreless Brushed DC Motors can be combined with a planetary gearbox. Ceramic wheel shafts are used in the output stage to increase the lifetime with a factor 2-3 times. These gearbox are available in sizes of 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 16mm and 22mm and a maximum nominal torque of 0,8Nm can be reached for the 4-stage PG22C gearbox.

Encoder

Additionally the Coreless Brushed DC Motors and Slotless Brushless DC Motors can be equipped with magnetic and optical encoders. They are available with 2 or 3 channels and a line driver. The resolution starts with 12 pulses (48 quad counts) with a maximum of 256 pulses (1024 quad counts).
